Overview

The Radisson RED App was a native mobile application designed to enhance the guest experience at Radisson RED hotels. The app provided comprehensive guest services including mobile key functionality, allowing guests to unlock their room doors directly from their smartphones.

Built for both iOS and Android platforms, the app streamlined the entire guest journey from pre-arrival to checkout, reducing friction at the front desk and empowering guests with self-service capabilities.

Key Features

Mobile Key Integration

Guests could bypass the front desk entirely by using their smartphone as their room key. The mobile key functionality integrated with hotel door lock systems using BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology for secure, contactless room access.

Digital Check-In/Check-Out

Complete the check-in process before arrival, including ID verification and payment confirmation. Express checkout allowed guests to review their folio and complete their stay without visiting the front desk.

In-App Services

Guests could request room service, housekeeping, and other amenities directly through the app. Real-time notifications kept guests informed about their requests and hotel promotions.

My Role

As Product Manager at Runtriz, I led the development of the Radisson RED mobile application. Key responsibilities included:

  • Defined product requirements for native iOS and Android applications
  • Managed integration with Radisson's property management system (PMS)
  • Coordinated mobile key integration with door lock hardware vendors
  • Worked with design team to create an intuitive, brand-aligned user experience
  • Led QA testing across multiple device types and hotel properties
  • Managed app store submissions and ongoing updates
